Greetings and Regards!

I've been registered for a couple of years now actually, but never formally introduced myself. I've mostly just lurked here (obviously) checking in on the various discussions and threads from time to time. I can say though, that I truly believe THR is THE best online resource for the exchange of the type of information it was designed for. A sincere Thank You to the moderators and the regulars for making THR what it is!

Hello All

Hello all, I'm a 47 year old man from central Iowa. I have three children and I own a small business and have 45 employees at present.

Both of my vehicles weight more than 5000 lbs empty, I read my Bible almost daily, carry a gun, always vote for candidates who support my 2nd amendment rights.

My wife of 23 years is not quite as excited about guns and all things 2nd amendment as I am, but she just applied for her concealed carry permit last week, so she is coming around.

I have a modest collection of firearms and enjoy target shooting. I knew I had reached critical mass with my collection when I brought a new gun home and was cleaning/playing with it on the dining room table and no one in my family noticed that it was new.

When I was younger I would take five or six guns to the range at a time and try to shoot them all. I would then spend the afternoon cleaning them.

More recently, I've just took one or two guns and really try to spend a little one on one time with them. I seems like I get more out of that type of practice.

Hi, new guy here from Colorado Springs! I've been lurking here for awhile and decided to join up. I especially enjoy the black powder section, as lately I have more fun shooting my '58 Remington than anything else. I'm starting to get into reloading, as my second favorite shooting irons are 1911's. Good to be here.

Greetings from Alaska

The reason I joined this forum is;In addition to sharing knowledge with my fellow shooters and gun nuts, this forum seems to be more politically active than the others I belong to.

I'm more into long guns and tactical rifles,I do all my own gunsmith work as long as it doesn't require a lathe, build my own AR's,and load all my ammo except for 22 LR and cheap 223 "Blaster" ammo.I'm into hunting, fishing, gold prospecting, and just plain exploring and enjoying the outdoors, summer and winter............

Remington 870 Express

I'm Gene (age 41) from Topeka Ks. and an ex Navy Vet (I was in Desert Shield/Desert Storm)and I enjoy shooting and cleaning my guns. I not only clean the guns to keep them working, but I enjoy it almost as much as I do shooting them. Right now I only have handguns (had to sell the rifles and shotguns to pay a debt) but will need/want some long guns again. I really like Sig Sauer handguns (I'll need a third job to afford any of their rifles) and I have a P229 with the .40 cal and .357 Sig barrels for it. I have a Sig P238HD(.380 six+one) that I picked up a few months back for my ccw. It is a true joy to shoot (much better than my .22 Darringer) and very accurate right out of the box. It may be a bit small for someone with big hands. GREAT carry gun. So far, NO glitches. I don't usually join discussion groups but this one is different. No one is Judging others, belittling them for their opinion and etc and I appreciate that.
Happy and safe shooting everyone.
P.S. I have been wanting to reload for quite some time now (hobby and for cost control). I have about 100 lbs. of lead(maybe more) and ALOT of brass, but my brother sold his reloading equipment that I wanted to buy. Anyway, Dillon, RCBS, Hornaday are all good from what I hear. I am leaning towards the Dillon turret for mass reloading. Does anyone have a opinion on any of the reloading brands I listed, or any others for that matter? are there any better ones out there w/o breaking the bank entirely? I am always looking for a good deal and dependable equipment.

Let me introduce myself

Hey yall. I am a gun enthusiast (sadly not a collector yet) from AL. I have been on THR several times when looking for gun related information and finally decided to sign up. I carry frequently and almost always have a gun handy. It is good to be here.

Hi all. JLF in Oregon here. I've always "liked" guns, but never owned any until a couple years ago. Until recently I felt I had a bias against certain types of guns for whatever reason, but more recently I've discovered that.... I love 'em all!

Newb

Well - I've been 1 of those "Lurkers" gleaning reloading info, but also looking at several sites for those more reasonable. Liked the vibe of this site, so started a log-in here - Just got back into shooting & reloading. 21yr Army vet - Just got the wife interested in her CCL and just finished my course. Now it's stated "when are you going to get your pistol" Seems I lost the M&P9c to my better half.

Hi, this is Jamie from Queens NY, I always liked guns and stuff like that, slightly ungirly but true for me :) hoping to get deep insights about things!!

New member from Louisiana

Hello all, decided to join a forum that looked like it had a good amount of users and knowlege. I am a Soldier stationed at FT. Polk here in LA. Been in the Army for 7 years and am starting to get more into guns. I currently own a Imber R1A1 sporter FAL, Ruger SR 556, Savage model 110-30-06, and a Taurus PT 24/7 .40cal. I just bought a few more guns yesterday. I got a good deal on a brand new Kel Tec sub 2000 in .40cal from a local gun store. Paid 390 for it with an extended 30 round magazine. I was also able to buy a Kel Tec .380 and a Remington 597 from a friend that is getting ready to go to Germany for 200 dollars. I guess you can never have too many guns

Hi I am sfed and a new member!!

I have been reloading for about a year now, I am reloading 30-06, 223 and 5.56x45, and 40 Smith and Wesson. I started with the Lee Breech lock press kit and Lee dies. I did get the RCBS bullet puller the collet type which seem to be really good. I have 2 40 cal pistols, a Ruger SR 40 and a Taurus 24/7 longslide. I have a 223 Ruger Mod 77 mark2 with 26 inch bull barrel and Ruger Mini 14, and several other bolt action rifles.

Newbie

Im Kyle from Minnesota, US. Finally after years of browsing this site for reference type info, I decided to join. I enjoy all types of guns, but military surplus rifles are by far my most favored. When you were already a history buff, then you find you like firearms, you end up REALLY liking the old bolt action rifles of yesterday. Looking forward to stumbling accross more great info, and I'm sure I'll be asking a few questions myself.

CLF

I live in the great state of North Carolina. I enjoy all kinds of shooting and all kinds of short and long guns. Main shooting sport is SASS/CAS. Just now starting into Wild Bunch. Love to hunt but am a bad shot with a 12ga so I limit the amount of bird hunting to doves. Hunt other 4 legged criters with bow through modern bolt actions. As stated above, I have no preference to the type of hunting just want to be out there doing it.

Member of Sir Walter Gun Club, North of Raleigh, NC.

I have been known to chase fish across the Eastern 48 states, bass mainly but would at one time go for anything legal. When I lived in South Florida I was known to love Shark fishing along with most blue water. Worked the boats out of Hillsboro inlet and private boats from Ft. Lauderdale.
