It is, in fact, my ham radio call sign. I've not been active for a long time but keep the license renewed as I keep getting this urge to get on the air again. And then my thoughts wander to my handguns and how I can't wait to go to the local range with them again! Oh the choices; oh the agony! ;-)
 
Not a new member but one who hasn't posted in years, still hunt, shoot, reload, fish, boat, etc. (all the usual outdoors stuff). Been getting settled in a retirement home (retired from the ARNG 19 years ago, but still haven't retired yet in my civilian job of selling building materials). I am getting more active again in shooting at ranges. and I recently picked up some previously owned but mint Ruger revolvers. A 41 MAG NM Blackhawk, and a 357 MAG Security Six - not my first in either cartridge but they were nice looking, the prices were right and I liked them. Odessa
 
Welcome to the group, @Odessa ! We are delighted to have you and your wisdom & experience. I have noticed as I age that I enjoy the DA revolvers I once had no time for. Thanks for the introduction, check out the THR primer, and get out to enjoy those wheelguns!
 
Yea, pull up a chair. Set on the floor and make yourself miserable. Coffee is almost ready. Rinse out one of those cups in the sink. NOT THAT ONE! That's the dogs cup, and he's funny about who drinks out of it.

I love a SXS shotgun myself. I don't have any but I still love 'em. When I was a kid, I could stand in front of my grandfathers glass gun cabinet for hours and just stare at his A,H. Fox, and Parker guns. :)

My dad's shotgun was an AH Fox double, and mom shot an Ithaca 20 ga double. It's good to have double fans sign on. Welcome!
 
Hi everybody!

I was a member here back around 2005 or so when I was into black powder pistol. Long story short moved to the city from the sticks and got away from it and this forum. Back in to it now and couldn’t remember login stuff so just registered again. Looking forward to hanging out again!

I'm glad to see you here. I shoot mostly classic doubles and combination guns. It's good to have a kindred spirit join us here.

Hi, my name is Kristopher Craig, I am from Herndon, Virginia. I am new to the forum, came across it sometimes when was looking for information and decided that it would be a good idea to finally register. I am more into target shooting standpoint, nad sometimes I also go hunting, nothing serious just joining my friends when they go hunting for rabbits. I think you will find this forum enlightening as you progress in your knowledge and skills. It's a forum that is polite as well as informational and educational.
 
Greetings - It has probably been 2 1/2 years since I last posted to THR, and nearly that long since I had a chance to stop by and cruise the forums. I had some family medical issues that rendered a number of firearms related things relatively unimportant, but pretty much out of nowhere felt inspired to stop in again when THR came up in a Google 1911 magazine info search today. I am a little concerned, because now I remember just how easy it is to lose (if that is the right word) hours reading through these forums. I just wanted to take a moment and say 'Hey' to all the members of THR, and hope to become engaged again soon.
 
I've been involved with firearms for over 35yrs; I was searching for specific information about the chemical constituents of a particular type of powder. This group was able to provide the info needed faster than any other source. Thanks to this great team, you provided exactly what was needed. 👍👍
