What is there to do at 6:50 on a Saturday morning? Register at THR of course. Hi everybody, I'm a total noob when it comes to firearms, but hope to remedy that soon. As far as any other expensive hobbies, I make movies. :)

Thanks for havin' me!

Hey Fellow Gunners

29 y/o military currently in Gun Ban Utopia - UK - with one year left before returning stateside! I was introduced to the forum by a friend.

My staple firearms include two black rifles (223 and 308), Marlin 1895CB in 45-70, Remington 870 12 ga, an assortment of 1911 .45ACP's (and a Glock Mod 30 to be sold next trip home), and a S&W Mod 60 357.

I enjoy martial arts, training my German Shepherds, hunting, shooting, and reloading. I was intro'd to reloading by that same friend. In that spirit, find someone to mentor on safe shooting and reloading, and don't forget to send some money or other support to orgs, candidates, and causes that are pro-2nd.

Don't let the U.S. end up like the UK!!!

Hi everyone. This sure looks like a great place to learn :) Looking forward to reading and writing here.

Oh, and Bloomberg can go suck it :cuss:

Western Montana Lady

I am new here and posted in several threads before I came to THIS thread.

I love to shoot, I love my firearms, I am VERY much into the SECOND and into all pro gun/pro liberty political issues. I am into self defense issues.

I walk the walk, talk the talk and keep the faith.

I think that the Second Amendment means exactly what it says too.

I like the fact that we can discuss more political issues here when it comes to GUN RIGHTS.

It is nice to meet all of you and thank you.

Sincerely,

Catherine - Armed and Female - Montana

Catherine:

Welcome to THR. I wish we had more like-minded female individuals on this board and on our side of the 2nd Amendment debate.

Visit often.

Introduction to forum?

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post an introduction, and I apologize if it's not.

After all the searching for a decent gun forum, it seems like I stumbled upon a real gem.

Just wanted to say "hey" and that I look forward to posting here.

*moderators feel free to move this to the correct area*

Thanks for the welcome

I am new to the site and fairly new to shooting. Inheriting a few old firearms as sparked my interest. Those will continue to be stored though as they haven't been fired in 30 years or so. As for me, I like cheap and easy so am happy as heck with my Marlin 22 semi auto rifle and Taurus snubnose 38SP. I am stepping up to a a 357 8 round Taurus though and thinking about a Walther P22 as well as having stocked up lately on cheap 9mm while it is still cheap. Oh, and the Ruger LCP has really caught my eye if the local guys here in Phoenix would start carrying it.

So far everyone here has been friendly and helpful. I may some stupid questions for everyone so please be patient with the Rook. Thanks

Fairly new, I'm about 30 posts deep now and just formerly introducing my self.

Cleveland, OH here, survive if you can!

Hello fellow shooters!

Hi guys and gals,
I am 44 yrs old from michigan and have been an avid gun owner and hunter from I don't know when.I love to collect guns, especially pre-64 Winchesters, but any old gun that catches my eye may be fair game.My latest adventure is a Magnum Research BFR in 500 Magnum I just put on layaway.I can't wait to try this one out!Not being the recoil shy kind of guy I am,I would love to handload this one and see what kind of maximum loads I can come up with.Anybody with any good experience with this one out there?I am looking forward to trying this one out!:

Hello everyone. I just got registered here today, and I'm glad to now be amongst like-minded gunfolk. This seems like just the place to let fly with questions of firearms ephemera and metaphysics I've had for some time.
Woo hoo!

Hi, I came to look around based on a couple of recommendations, liked what I saw and registered. My primary interests are handguns (CCW's) and military rifles (vintage).

I'm a US Army veteran (retired) who's heart is still with the Infantry.

Greetings from Texas!

Hello First Time Poster

Folks,

I am not new to shooting, as a young man my Dad and I would hunt some and shoot more. My friends and I used to ramble through the wood behind my house in NC, plinking and occasionally hunting.

As I got older, I kind of fell away from the scene. I don't have any kids, but my nephew is now 12, and I recently dusted off, oiled and cleaned up my old 22, (along with a shotgun that was my grandpa's), and took them, my new Smith and Wesson 686 seven shooter, and went out in those old woods (had to take a machete to clear a path), and taught him the rules of firearm safety.

We had a ball.

I found this forum while I was deciding what pistol to buy, and based on the many wise opinions here, settled on the revolver.

I enjoyed my self so much, that I have decided to add a hunting rifle to my collection, and decided to join so I can get some input as to the best caliber, type etc.

I look forward to much pleasurable reading here.

Nice to meet you.

I have stated in another thread and will say it again. This is the first month in my 27 year life I have owned a gun (besides a bb gun as a child). I purchaced a HI Point 40 pistol for home protection two weeks ago, then a LCP one week today. I have 400+ in the HP and going on 300 in the LCP. I love shooting and knowing my wife a little more safe when she's home with just the kids. Other than shooting, I run my own mobile VW repair and love helping my friends fix up their Hondas. So, you answer my gun questions, I'll take care of your overheating jetta questions (bad water pump, not the thermostat). Thanks and I look forward to getting to know y'all

Greetings from Southeast PA

Greetings, HighRoaders, from the outskirts of Philthadelphia, PA. If the S ever HTF, this is where the first lumps will get flung from.

Been shooting about 5 years, first with handguns but lately more with rifles. I've started handloading, so far for .223 Rem and .308 Win but will eventually add .38 Spl. and .357 Magnum.

I'm 58, an electrical engineer, with two grown sons; the younger one's the one who got me started in shooting.

Looking forward to yakking with you all...

Dave

Hey folks, I'm a new member from beautiful central Kentucky. I belong to a small club with a range and try to go shooting once every couple weeks or so to check out my handloads. I also like to fish and hunt, mainly turkey and deer but most everything else legal as well. I tend to buy/sell/trade a lot so am always looking for new playthings.

Greetings...

Hello, my name is Tony and I'm married, 24, and have a 12 day old daughter. I've lived in Minnesota my whole life, and I am presently residing in the Northeast Suburbs of the Twin Cities.

I'm extremely new to these forums and from what I've read, I believe I'm also probably one of the least educated individuals here in regards to all things firearms.

I joined in the hopes of absorbing some of the vast amounts information that I've read here earlier today.

If Knowledge is Power, I could be considered potentially weak in many of these subjects. I would like to improve that situation and therefore joined.

Thank you for your time.

-Tony
