I'm Ryan. I've been lurking for some time now and decided to sign up a few days ago. I look forward to contributing and, hopefully, learning here.

Hi! I'm Carl. I'm a hunter and reenactor from Oklahoma. I've slowly moved up to 22s after years of burning up 30-06 and 12gauge. I have really enjoyed all the discussion on the forum and hope to learn lots from everyone here.

Really like this site. Reloading for two years now, (still wet behind the ears) I like big callibers, odd callibers, and old callibers. Shoot and reload ;45auto,45/70, 45/90, (smokeless) 338federal, 7mm mag,44/40 and so on. I want to start loading with black powder and making my own boolits and hopefully one day make a custom rifle.

Greetings to everyone involved with THR. I would like to thank you all just for being around for the past few years. The thoughts and opinions of your members have become valuable and I cannot believe its taken me this long to join. I am a fanatic about any and all types of hunting that I have ever experienced. I also enjoy target shooting, be it on the skeet field or simply in the back yard with my Hoyt. I reload my shot shells as well as cartridges for my 300 win mag and .22-250. I own 2 revolvers, a pistol, 7 rifles, 5 shotguns, and a partridge in a pear tree.

Greetings from Iowa

I have been checking this place out for a while and finally took the 2 minutes to join. Great info here, and look forward to participating here.

Hello everyone and thanks for all the valuable info. I got into hunting about 10 years ago and recently took it to the next level by joining a rifle club and learning to handload. I'm currently loading for .30-06 and .22-250

Hey

I have been a fan of the forum for some time but for one reson or another I haven't registered. I am a fan of all things dangerous but i find firearms to be my niche. Currently I am shooting a glock 17 and 26 in my handguns and i have a remington 7615 that i love. Got more but those are my current favorites. Thanks for having me and i hope to add something to the discussion.

Hi all, I just joined to get access to a thread with pictures concerning the disassembly of a Smith and Wesson Model 10. I've always referred to the forum for information from time to time so I figured I would join. I'm looking forward to contributing.

hi

I am new here, I have recently inherited a couple of revolvers, and I have always had an interest in shooting. I used to do quite a bit of hunting, but the ex-wife took care of that. Been over 20 yrs since I got to go. She sold all my rifles in a garage sale............I had a weatherby 270, marlin 30-30, a marlin445, and a weatherby 30-06. All with scopes, and hard cases for transport, also had a colt 45, model 19..........all went for $500.00. I wanted to take her hunting............ All is in the past.:mad::mad:

I do have a question about the age of one of my revolvers, it is a S&W special CTG, but I cannot seem to find a model number, and the serial number is located on the cylinder, under the butt, and under the barrell, the numbers start with 423***, any clue on the age. Any help would be appreciated.

I noticed in my firearm and other related research that this site always seems to appear somewhere in the results so I decided to grab an account here. I don't particularly like guns but I do appreciate what they can do.

Just call me Iowa Girl. I'm a new member as of today. My interest lies in learning more about antique and vintage arms - both pistols and long guns. As a female, I don't have many friends who share my interest so I'm hoping this forum will be a place for me to converse, ask questions & learn from others. My husband and I are firm believers in the right to bear arms.

Hello Everyone, I'm a new member as of today as well. I like to shoot rifles and handguns, but most interested in rifles. I'm hoping to get some insight on better rifle shooting, and techniques/ mods i can do to improve upon my current shooting platforms.
I've harvested several deer in FL, GA, & MS, and a pronghornin CO (Oct.)...

Good Morning,

I was searching via my extensive Google-Fu for Replacement Parts for my Old Lyman All American Press and came across the Board and decided that I may need to join just in case.

I am a 11 year Army Veteran and Former Paratrooper(Master Parachutist) and currently serve as the Assistant VP of Social Media with the Non-Profit Paratrooper Association and Admin the Forum over at ArmyParatrooper.org.

Current Member of IDPA in Metro Atlanta and currently shoot a Springfield LW Champion Operator and it is my currently daily carry. I am actually getting my 12 year old son involved with IDPA shooting an Compact XD .45ACP this month (his first competition).

I've already jumped in on a few posts, but here is my introduction anyway.

I'm a 10 year veteran of the USAF, served in OEF and OIF. I've been shooting since I was a Boy Scout in the early 90s. I'm an NRA member, avid shooter, hunter and gun rights advocate in Michigan. Thankfully, Michigan laws are pretty decent for gun owners.

As far as my personal guns go, I own a Maverick 88, Mossberg 500AT, Mosin Nagant M91/30, Mosin Nagant M44, Arisaka type 38, Savage 64, Traditions Buckskinner .50. although I've fired handguns for over a third of my lifetime, my first handgun purchase and CCW license will come at some point this year.

I've been part of other forums similar to THR for a little while, but I always seem to come here to read threads and lurk. It was simply time to join and step out of the shadows.

Greetings from Texas

Read things on this site for years. Decided to finally join. Been an avid shooter for a long time (since about 5 years old now 28). Read alot and study the kinesiology of shooting. If its got a trigger and shoots projectiles i like it from air guns to rimfires and sa pistols to modern military rifles. Love them buy them sell them and more often than i should hoard them. Interested in getting into competition shooting. etc etc.

New guy from ohio. I'm a college student and love my guns. I'm an avid hunter, shooter, and gun enthusiast. I like the history behind firearms and the role they played in the founding and protection of this country.

Howdy everybody,
I started to read all the new member posts and only got to page two before I got cross-eyed. I figured I better say "Hi" before I can't see at all. Found this site because of a search I did about gun safes. I am looking to better my current safe and want something with some beef to it (and a few 1000 pounds of steel and insulation) I have a small collection of rifles and pistols and want to keep them as safe and secure as I can. I've had my Grandpa's .22 rifle since I can remember. Only target shoot since the Wife is not into hunting. That's OK cause she's the one I'll have to get my safe money from. I'm retired so that means "I've got no money but all the time in the world".
Mike
