Anybody have any 4 5/8" blued good barrels laying around they want to part with? Mine has a 9 1/2", and ain't got much use for a rifle length barrel...

Chop, crown, and resight that 9.5" to where you want it or sell it to someone who likes the speed benefit .22 WMR gets out of that gun.

Contact Ruger; they won't take the old barrel in trade, but they will install a new one of whatever length you want.

There is probably a market for your long barreled Single Six , almost a Buntline?

I'd sell it and buy a shorter one.

I did not know that. I wouldn't alter it or get rid of it either.

By the time you invest in a barrel, shipping and gunsmith duties getting the barrel changed, you could've bought another gun.

I believe this is no longer the case.
