I just finished up this multicam job for one of the guys at the shop. What do you guys think?

very nice!

i think we're all still waiting to hear about what templates you used from your last job though... or did i miss that?

DuraCoat.

They have a "multicolor" pack. All the colors have to be darkened though. Next time Im going to match the colors myself.

Sorry Taliv. I made myown stensils on this one. The last time I used the ones from Lauer and wasn't happy with them. This time most of it is free hand. Only the hard images on top were done with stensils.

I agree that your own stencils look a lot better than the Lauer stencils on the last multicam job you showed here.

The colors look better too; but they still seem to be a tad bit off from the neutral colors in multicam. The green looks a bit too bright and the dark brown looks a little too black.

They are a little different. I found out the hard way that Lauer's "multicolor" and the difference in colors gets them around licencing infringment. I think I can do a better job of matching the colors myself instead of using the "multicolor".

Possum...You are probably too far away and will be needing it so sending it in is more than likely out of the question.
Stay safe.

We've got this one on the wall at the shop now. It belongs to one of my guys, Atomicferret, and it looks awesome in person.

I guess that the Multicolor from Duracoat is just a bit off on purpose to keep them from getting sued by Cyre.

PvtPyle got the wicked cool sage brush one, and Atomicferret got this one. Other FBMGer Curly is getting a Fat Kid Conversion Saiga .308 done up in multicam also, so now I'm jealous.

I'm thinking about doing something different, but right now I'm kind of undecided. I've got FBMG Smithy working for me, so I would be an idiot not to take advantage of him, but I've got to figure out which gun, and which color scheme I want to do.

I'm thinking about doing an AK in snow camo, just because nobody else here has done that yet. Plus, it gives me an excuse to buy another AK.

We just started work on my custom Fatkid 5.56 Race AK.

It is a 16", with the front sight removed, threaded for a suppressor, (AAC M4-1000), and a custom aluminum rail system (made out of an Iraqi tent leg, I kid you not, but it will look awesome), an Ultimak top rail with a scout scope, and a Russian PKM stock carved to fit the AK trunion.

Then I've decided that I'm going to have FBMGsmithy duracoat it in a camo pattern that is kind of this snow/slush/marsh pattern that I have in mind.
