Well I got back from golfing today and had a sale email from Midway USA on Zeiss optics, so I had to spend some money. These are demo units, but for a couple of hundred off I'm willing to live with a minor blemish in the tube.
I've got an Alexander Arms24" 6.5 Grendel upper I've been shooting this year and had just put a left over 4-12x40 scope I had sitting around on it. They had a 4.5-14x44 Zeiss Conquest on sale with the Rapid_Z 1000 reticle, which although designed for the .308 is almost a perfect match for the 6.5 Grendel when set to 13x.
Now I just need to wait for the temperature to go down about 20 degrees so I can get back out for some rifle shooting (106 today in my backyard).
