New Remington rifles at WMT

there is nothing saying that those are new production at all...likely old stock

Could well be. I've seen guns at both Walmart and K-Mart that were 10+ years old based on SN's. They buy by the truck load and store them in warehouses. Individual stores may have old guns they can't move and they get packed up and shipped to other stores where they can be sold.

They are not new production, but still good to see .
After all the walmart liquidation last year I'm a little surprised they would have old stock at full price. I thought we had pretty well picked the stores clean when they were giving them away. Could be Remington was sitting on these during the bankruptcy proceedings as existing inventory and is only now able to ship after the divisions were sold.

I don't even bother stopping by the WalMart sporting goods section anymore; haven't seen ammo there for months, and they discontinued selling all reloading supplies. I used to buy all of my Hornady XTPs and CCI primers there. Now, only one place in 50 miles sells them, and hasn't had them for months and months. Freaking woke Commies...

All 3 WMs in my area stopped selling guns after the closeouts and now they have fishing rods or Daisy BB guns

If they are N.O.S., who's honoring the "Lifetime Warranty" proudly displayed on the stock, or is that where the "Limited" comes into play?

I would want to see some reviews of the new Remington rifles before I bought one. Since pretty much the same people are running the current company, I wonder if these will be as good as they should be. I guess we will see. I hope they learned some lessons from the experience of the last several years.

My local WM has installed shelves where they had rifle racks previously and has shortened the ammo section by adding a knife section

No guns at my local one... Chinese knives galore where ammo shelves were.

3 boxes of 350 Legend and one 243 federal.

Had to pass on everything

The closest Walmart rebuilt the whole gun counter/section recently only to completely gut it a month or two ago---they don't even have shotgun shells anymore------haven't been to the other 2 stores that still sell guns in quite a while, so not sure what's going on there

They rotate between calibers. .350 Legend seems to be this weeks' flavor, as that is also what the store I work at has. Some friends have been scoring 4 paks of Win. promo trap loads, I never seem to be there at the right time, and I spend 40 hrs. a week there.
