New Rifled Barrel for the 500

My wife found me a nicely used 24" rifled barrel with the cantilever scope base for my 12 ga Mossberg 500. Now I need to find a scope for it! Does anyone have any suggestions on a decent scope that has enough eye relief so I won't go home with a black eye . Thanks, Burke

Nikon Buckmaster, 3-9X, about $160 at your friendly big box store.

Thanks for the reply PAPAG. Do you have one on your shotgun? I first tried a TrueGlo 4x32 on it but the scope sat too far away from my eye to get a decent picture. That is a short scope and a BuckMaster should work better. NH

I have a red dot sight on mine and I like it. Otherwise a 1-4 shotgun scope is good.
