Check out what I found at the sigarms.com website... a new P229 SCT!

I think it's definitely going to be my next handgun purchase. Comes with FOUR magazines.. 17rd 9mm or 14rd .40sw! I love the look with the front cocking serrations and NO beavertail(save those for 1911s). The magazines look really cool how they extend just a little bit further and have such high capacity. The final touch is the TFO front sight and siglite rear.. perfect sight combo IMO after handling an Equinox once before.

Now the tough question.. 9mm or .40??? I say .40:) High(er) cap 9mms don't impress me much after owning a G19 with 33rd mags. I think 14+1 rounds of .40sw is something you don't see too often. Not to mention the P229 and the .40sw were made for eachother....357 barrel swap? no problem.

What do you guys think? (if this has already been posted somewhere, sorry!!! lol)

*edit* just noticed there's a P226 SCT too...doesn't look quite as inviting to my hand as the P229 does, but it would still make one NICE home defense gun w/ that kind of firepower! (20rd 9mm or 15rd .40)

Here you go:

That sold in less than an hour of posting it...:D
FWIW, I've got all models/calibers on order. If interested, drop me a PM.
Thanks!

I've also been eyeing this gun but plan on going with 9mm since I have over 4k of the stuff and will use this gun for fun/comp.

Guys...I own the P226 SCT. Equipped w/ Lasergrips and TacLight. She is a sight to behold and shoots straight as an arrow. The new 9mm mags say 20 rds, but I have loaded 22 rds + 1 chambered w/ no problems. Put over 500 rds through mine as of today.

Doc2005...I will post up some pics as soon as I get back in town. On an out of state EP gig. Wife has camera!

So what's "SCT" stand for? The high cap extended mags, sights, and other features seem geared towards "practical + IPSC" sort of marketing sort of like the CZ SP-01. Not overly tweaked for game playing and compromised as a real defensive pistol, but able to be used for competition.
