You are using the old Black Responsive theme. We have installed a new dark theme for you, called UI.X. This will work better with the new upgrade of our software. You can select it at the bottom of any page.
There are lots of cool smilies, but please consider whether you'd actually want to use them in posts with any reasonable frequency. Also, ideally there should be a :<code>: for each smiley, and that could get tough after a few dozen additions. Huge smileys won't fly. They'll mess up the smilies box.
I rather like the new curmudgeonly ones Jason added to 1911Forum.
If you're taking use suggestions, I would submit that too many animated smilies can really deter from posts. I find that at sites where lots of them are offered, they are often overused or used in place of intelligent dialogue. That being said, the "when pigs fly" animation could sure have its uses in "Legal & Political".
The beating of a dead horse would come in handy on posts such as 1911 vs. Glock (my vote: 1911) or AK vs. AR (my vote: M1A) or Who in their right mind would ever own a gold Desert Eagle? (answer: me!)
