I gave my wife a Ruger SR 22 Pistol today for Valentine's day. We both think it's a great gun! Put 200 rounds of mini mags through it with 0 malfunctions. The sights were dead on from the factory and groups ran about 3'' at 50 feet which is great for me. the only complaint I would have is that the spare (3rd) mag I got direct from Ruger was very hard to load. Haven't investigated the cause yet--the other two were quick and easy to load. I would highly reccomend this pistol for range or field. I do own both a Buckmark and MK1 Ruger which I am very fond of, but this little Ruger has a real charm about it.

I was out looking for one the past couple of days and no one around here have any. Glad that you guys like it. I like the design and cant wait to get one for the wife to shoot (and me).

If you ever had a chance to shoot a Walther P22, how does this gun compare, specifically the trigger?

Hadn't shot a walther, but the Sr22 can be either da/sa or sa only depending upon if the safety is on or off when you rack the slide. It also has restrike capability, something that is great if you are shooting "value bulk" 22 amo.
