Just picked up an old 2-shot Geha 12-gauge (modified 98 Mauser) with the usual crack behind the tang. I'm considering repairing the old stock and putting it aside, replacing it with a spare Spanish modelo 1943 stock (after suitable trimming and inletting).

Anyone see any problems?

I used a K98 stock as a replacement on a unnamed german proofed 12ga. single shot bolt action a good number of years ago . It seemed like a simple fix back then, 55 years ago. It still shoots not well or often.
