Bought mine new in 1981 for $280. Dad had to buy it, as, for some reason, they wouldn't sell to a 15 yo. Still the one I carry every November. Can't beat a tang safety for jump shooting...can't make a wing safety work for it at all. Have several more now, some for backup as parts are hard to come by. Get 'em while you can.

I don't even try to keep up with new IMR powder #'s anymore...

Never understood why the Rem guys bashed the Rugers so much....I have both and my Rugers will shoot right next to the Rem actions all day long.... and my M77 in 7mmMag shoots more like a varmint rifle than a big game rifle....
