My friend at the LGS teased me when I picked it up. He said that his new slogan for me was, "You're wasting money if you don't buy it."
I already had four other 40 caliber service pistols, but I really like my P90 (45acp) and I managed to win this one for a $190 bid on Gunbroker. On the one hand, I really didn't need another 40 caliber service pistol. On the other hand... $190!!!
It's been shot some. The finish on the slide is worn in places, and you can tell by the rails and outside of the barrel that it's seen a good many rounds. The trigger pull is long but smooth. It fits my hand well and I like the sights. I won't get to shoot it until Wednesday. I'm expecting it to be as reliable as all of my other Rugers. I'm pretty sure that this is Ruger number ten for me, and I like them all.
Where should I look for a spare magazine? Midway had a Pro-Mag, but my experience with Pro-Mags has not been positive. Also, if anyone else has a P94, I'd be grateful for insight as to what ammo it likes best and any other details you could share with me.
And, of course, a picture:
