Was at my LGS to get some ammo handmade the mistake of walking past the black powder section! Why did they have to have a unfired ROA just sitting there waiting for me!
Needless to say, along with the ammo I came for, I left with a new ROA, a couple pounds of Goex 3F, caps and a couple hundred 457 balls :)

20 grains fffg, fill with cornmeal, the 457 ball, some grease on top and you have a match load. The Lee 220 rn and a chamber of fffg and you have power. Lyman 450229 and you have a tack driver. 457 ball and a cylinder of ffffg you match some 357 loads for power.

Great find! Once you work up a load your ROA likes, the accuracy will astound you. C&B revolvers are more accurate than most people expect and the ROA takes that up a notch or more. Judging by my area I'm surprised you could find the caps. They are scarce around here. :cuss:

You are in for a lot of fun.

Jeff

Any turn marks on the cylinder? I'll hazard that this might have more value as an unturned future collector's piece than a new shooter.
