I am presenting a class in Eau Claire, WI, on Saturday, July 23rd, to meet the requirements of the new Wisconsin permit to carry law. There will be 2 sessions, one at 1:00pm and a second at 6:00pm.

If interested, email for logistics etc. to..... [email protected]

Pre-registration is requested so that I have a better sense of how many sets of class material to prepare and bring.

Can't help with regard to attendance, but I think it worth mentioning that seeing a post with "WI carry class" in the thread title is a sure sign that not everything is going to hades in a hand basket. Glad you get to hold the class! Have a good one.

Actually, the class was a "test the waters" to see if there was any interest in the Eau Claire area prior to the law taking effect, as there is no time constraints on "when" the class was held. I am 100% certain that there will be significant interest as we march towards November, but there is no appreciable interest today.

I have cancelled the class and will be offering other options after November 1 (the date the law is to take effect).

I am confident that there will be a number of classes conducted by a number of instructors once the law kicks in. Neat for WI !

Total chaos is coming to southern Wisconsin. I read this in both the State Journal and the Cap Times so it must be true. Once the CCW law goes into effect, it will be like Sarajevo was a few years back. People ducking from cover to cover, bodies lying unburied in the streets, snipers dueling it out with no regard for innocent casualties. For heavens sake stock up on food and disaster supplies because you won't dare to go out of your basement after November! The only chance we have is to try to sneak across the border into Illinois, where we will be safe.

As soon as we find out what the mandates for training are we can start looking into it. As of now Shieels and Maybe Gander Mt are setting something up, Isac Walton in Stevens Point has been an anchor for our safety and rights for a long time, so I would bet they will have a program too.

The lowest training required is offered by the Department of natural resources...Hunters saftey.

Is there reciprocity MN/WI? Will my MN permit allow carry in WI?
Unknown as of yet. Based on the training requirements, my guess is that a MN permit will be recognized by WI, but there is almost no chance MN will honor a WI permit.
