Hi All,

Here's a couple of knives I forged and finished over the last couple of weeks.

This is a knife that I really enjoyed making. It's closer to san-mai than Damascus at only 20 layers, but it yielded some interesting and beautiful results. Internally pinned & soldered bolsters with a Desert Ironwood handle and Bronze pins. 5.5" blade 5/16ths thick. 9 & 7/8ths overall.

Here's a Big Bowie. 640 layer Damascus throughout. 11&1/8th inch blade, 16&7/8ths inches overall. 1/4" thick at ricasso. Elk handle.

Here's an old pre-Journeyman's knife that I just sold. It was meant to look similar to the old Ames rifleman's knife.

Have fun looking.

Thank You guys very much. Fantastic feeling to get such positive input.

Mr. Accawi,

Those are great. The second looks like a pure fighter. Was that your intention? I would like the last even better if the handle was micarta.

I know, I'm a Philistine.

Thanks JShirley,

Yes the big one is a fighter. The rifleman's knife may get a micarta treatment the next time around. Why, do you want one?

Cheers,
Fuad

These are truly beautiful works of art . They are worth what ever you can get BTW. How much for the top one?

Incredible work! I like your website too, I spent a while digging around. I'll make sure to watch for you on "How Stuff Works."

Gordon,

That knife is $625. You can see it on my available works page on my website http://www.AcreMetalworks.com

Floppy_D,

My episode has already aired, but there is a YouTube video on my front page that contains all of my "How Stuff Works" airtime plus some other T.V. work I've done. Have fun watching.

Cheers Guys,
Fuad

That big,Damascus Bowie is calling to me...unfortunately my wallet is not equal to the task. Beautiful work!!

Mr. Accawi,

Of course I want one! Whether I can afford one is another matter entirely! I think this is a great time to be stocking up on ammunition (see new sigline), since I really have enough blades to make it through any crisis.

I'm looking for a Mini 14 at the moment myself.

As usual, every last one of 'em is absolutely gorgeous. Beautiful work. I think the first one is my favorite of the bunch.
