New Year's Resolution for gun forums.

I resolve to put on ignore, anyone that:
-suggests, or wants to carry empty chamber because conscripts in Israel did so 50 years ago.
-starts a 1911 condition 87 thread (must be out of movies at the retirement home)
-starts another 10,000th bear thread

I would resolve to be more patient and less snarky to other posters. Help people with more technical problems. And maybe come out the other end not believing the 1911 is a gadgety artifact.

I resolve to get a handle on this: "I can't shoot a Glock because of the grip angle".

As far as respecting other's opinions, let's do that. If someone doesn't perfectly agree with your obviously correct absolute ideology and opinion, discuss it rationally and empirically. As a moderator, I (and others) find it such a drag to referee insult contests.

If you find the opinions of some members as so offensive as to be unacceptable - are you suffering from confirmation bias? Maybe they have something to say. If you like uniformity of opinion, you can resolve to search for it on some of the various pure locations on the Internet.

Let's all have a good year with informative and polite conversations.

This year will be close to last year. Get my shop cleaned up. Give away some more stuff and not bring home as much.
I would like to try and be more like my dog. Fearlessly loyal to the ones I love and try not to bite anyone.

I have resolved to be more helpful to my fellow man by offering, freely, my wisdom and judgment as a beacon of light to the unenlightened. While driving or riding my motorcycle I resolve to do my best to teach the moronic drivers all around me some basic skills and courtesy of the road. With my many Left wing family members, I resolve to keep trying, however difficult and frustrating it may be, for them to see the error of their ways and to accept the truth as I KNOW it to be. And finally, I will try to be humble, even when I know I am the wisest and smartest person in the room.

To continue to be a good ambassador for firearm ownership.

To maintain a balance in my collection.

To shoot and appreciate what I have before I ponder how to expand said collection.

To use that knowledge to buy what I am subsequently missing.

Sneak another acquisition or two into the plan.

Reload more.

Shoot.

Repeat.

Despite the name of the site, those advancing "minority" positions and who as a consequence are accused of "hiding under the skirt of Nancy Pelosi" for their failure to adhere to "orthodoxy" wouldn't know it.

I resolve to overlook and not get upset about the judgmental opinions of the Lee bashers, the "go blue or go home:barf:" crowd, ignore the "Wow, look what Bubba did!" posts and the "Wow, look what you could have bought in 1966 with only $4.00!:barf:" posts. Gee, I feel better already!

Good idea. Yeah, we have reached a point where it seems like lots of people act like babies and lash out and think that being a stubborn bully is somehow manly.

So a resolution to be less reactionary would be good all around.

I think this forum generally is pretty polite, especially compared to some others I check in on now and again.
