whats the "up" knob for?I have an orange Lyman scale. It's cool you found a grey one.
Zeroing the scale. Looks great. Did you use the Reloading Wisdom thread suggestions for cleaning and tuning yet? It’s a good read. Links to things like check weights.whats the "up" knob for?

thanks!^^^ The knob is to lift the beam off the bearings when not in use. It’s to protect the knife’s edge on which it pivots. It has nothing to do with zeroing the scale.
Never seen that option, but I'm open to learning new things.... any chance you have a manual or can snap a pick of those directions for my edification^^^ The knob is to lift the beam off the bearings when not in use. Simply amazing sir! That quick! I “assume” the basic maintenance and cleaning rules apply? Nothing special, just check that the agate is in good shape, no chips or cracks, and the knives are similarly not damaged.https://brievenwegers.nl/3191e.htm
I'm just motivated.
