Hadn't taken a ride in awhile and had a nice sum of cash in my pocket from my Birthday last month. Decided to go for a long overdue ride north that I hadn't been taken as much as I used too (Read, once a weekend turning into not once in 5 weeks)

As I was riding around the town I don't live in but know everyone in, I decided to hit the gun store that had been severly neglected by me. As I was walking around the milsurp rack, I noticed one lone sentry much taller then the rest. Picked the old man up, extracted the bolt, looked down the bore, worked the action once or twice. Now originally I noticed only that he was a 91/30 with a good looking bore... Little dark, with cosmolene and some dust in there but not too bad. Little more then I've seen them online and other places but dangit, once I held it and saw it, knew I wanted it. Paid for it and brought it home for a nice cleaning.

1935 Mosin 91/30. Going by markings it was made by the Izhevsk arsenal with the Hex reciever, matching numbers. Ran some patches down the bore... started noticing a lot of gray on the patch. Held it up to the light, can't see a pit mark, any type of corrosion or any kind of rust and it's becoming very bright in there in a hurry. I just sprayed some of the foaming bore stuff in it and letting it sit for 20 minutes before I go back at it. Now I just have to find a bayonet, sling ammo pouch and original cleaning kit and I'll be happy.. well More happy then I allready am lol :)
