A Christmas gift to myself. This Cased Classic Arms Snake eye has "engraving" and it is the only one of it's kind I have seen with a rifled brass barrel ! Pictures : I am pairing it with my Navy Arms .36 mule eared side slapper and a .36 revolver. I already have a .31 single barrel derringer , a .44 Pedrasoli screw barrel I like alot that takes .451 balls , and a "Philladelphia " Derringer in same ".44 caliber" . This should complete my BP "deringer" collection .

Would be nice if we had more double barrel percussion derringers. If Great Gun would outsource some of their manufacturing they might be able to meet US demand.

I wanted a Hopes Ethan Allen side by side .36 derringer a long time and missed a nice one for under $300 on GB in November . I got this for $250 and it's somewhat unique and new and displays well.

If u shoot it let us know. I've wanted a derringer like this for a once a year bp range trip and everyone says these are junk or don't work well.

I had a Twister from the same company and it was definitely junk.

My brother had the 4-barrel "Pepperbox" as well as the "New Orleans Ace". Both were absolute garbage. I think I may still have the Ace barrel in a drawer somewhere. It was very rough-bored, as in no rifling, drilled out with a very dull drill bit, and the breech end was threaded twice as deep as needed at 3/4" instead of 3/8". But what is a denominator (or rifling) among friends?

To OP Gordon, it looks like you got a very nice piece. I wonder if it was intended to be some sort of promotional item when the company first started. I am glad you got what appears to be a pretty nice pistol and hope you enjoy it for many years.
