A big +1! Take a kid shooting and it's more fun with black powder.
Here's some shots of us working at Scout camp last week. This was during the part where we shoot round ball guns.
Here's shot of us letting the kids shoot volley fire like they did back in the day. Target was a 4ft square piece of drywall and the minies made the chunks fly! Kids had a blast.

My son is not exactly a kid at 29, but I did get him interested in black powder. Here he is with his new at the time flintlock. We go shooting together almost every weekend.

That was one of the troops that were in Camp Raven Knob in NC that week. We've seen Scouts from FL, NC, SC, WV, VA, GA, and TN just this summer.
