Found a few SPS R700's on clearance for $397 today, including one that I have some interest in. From what I've seen online, this is a smokin' deal. Should I "pull the trigger"?

Great gun are you sold on the .243? If you like 7mm-08, 270, or 308 look at the Marlin Model XS7Y. It is alot of gun for the money...Russ

it is a good rifle, made even better by the youth size in my opinion, and I love , looooove the 243 cal. now then, you may find one of the same rifle in 7.08, if you can find one of these, heck , i would get both. that 7.08 will do all you need in north america , except for bear.

I almost bought one of these at Walmart but really wanted a .223 so I got the Savage Edge. You cannot go wrong with the Remington 700.

when the 700 sps first came out with the left hand youth model,i got one in 7mm08 and put a slip on recoil pad on it to make it alittle longer and wal-la i have light left hand rifle for alittle over 500.00. eastbank.

I have the regular Remington 700 ADL Youth in .243. It puts a tight 3/4 inch hole groups using factory Winchester 100 gr SP. Im amazed. I guess they are all like that. .243s are just amazing in the accuracy department. But if you can get them in 7mm 08 that would be even be better as it has more punch downrange.

Sounds like a deal to me. Nice thing about 700s is that you can always restock them at a later date. But the youth stock may be all that's required.
