Nice. I sure like the looks of those lever autos. I think about getting a Leverletto now and again but it would end up just being an expensive letter-opener.
The Hubertus toggle/lever autos are stylistically different. A bit wider and typically a drop or clip point. You may be used to equating a lever with the Germans, but that type of lock is found in Italy and France and Spain as well.
Very, very nice... I've long been tempted every time I see a lever operated blade (particularly the German ones, with the wider handle and blade....). So far I've only admired them whenever one came around.
I had one in my property room long ago - and it was still there when I left Property to take up other duties in the early nineties (but I was definitely tempted....). Are these designs still being manufactured and offered? All of the ones I saw were very well made - but at least 30 or more years old (a guess on my part...). They looked to be from the fifties or sixties era...
There is a man who goes by Bill DeShivs who designed a lever lock knife called a Leverletto. They are sold on lots of sites. I've never owned one but they get good reviews from the knife affectionados.
