Go or no go?

I have the Ruger 10/22 Wally World Special with the SS barrel and silver colored alloy receiver. Thinking about putting a Nikon ProStaff 4x32 in silver on it. Will be using it for hunting and plinking. Good combination?

Sounds good to me. I have a Nikon 4 power (don't remember the model) on my 10-22 and it seems well suited for my use. That's mostly squirrels, plinking out to about 100 yards, typical 22 stuff. If you are going to do a lot of fast very close shooting, 4X might be too much. But by close I mean 10 or 15 feet. Anything farther is gravy.

Hi. I have the same setup your discussing. The prostaff is a good scope, I've been using it on my ruger for about a year now. It ain't no Leupold, but for squirrels and plinking at targets it's a pretty good complement to the Ruger. Mine is in the silver finish to match the SS of the Ruger.

Good Luck
Joe

I have the Nikon Prostaff on my 10/22. it's a good scope for the purpose. My 10/22 is stainless with laminated stock. the silver Nikon looks good and I think it's a better choice than the $40 BSA scopes out there on most 10/22s.
