Returned my Nikon Monarch for repair. Nikon sent a message saying it was not economically feasible for them to repair the scope and they do not have scope replacements any longer.

BUT! They sent me a voucher for any product they sell on nikonusa. But I need a scope! So I am thinking about using the voucher, selling what I buy new-in-box at a big discount and buying a scope.
I can use voucher and buy.
Nikon Prostaff 5 Spotting Scope 20-60x 82mm angled-body $600
OR
Nikon Laser Rangefinder 50 6x $450

Need advice! Which would be easier to sell? Should I pick another kind of optic. $600 is my limit

You might first determine your scope needs. I say this because you might consider keeping something like a spotter and purchasing a new scope if budget allows. There are compelling options priced hundreds less than what was comparable quality just a few years back.

If budget does not allow for the above then pick a golf range finder; golfers always have money to spend.

Thanks. I have a spotter scope and really need a rifle scope. What one guy suggested is to sell the Nikon Voucher. Had not thought of that. The was it is set up is you can purchase any item on nikonusa.com up to $600. So you pick the item and apply the voucher at checkout. If you pic an item less than than 600 you lose the remainder.

Sell the voucher. That way you’re not trapping yourself into a market of buyers looking for whatever specific product you would have otherwise chosen.
