New Jersey assembly no 2108, introduced by Reed Gusciora (D), would ban hundreds more rifles by reducing the "evil feature" count from 2 to 1. This would ban more rifles including the Springfield M1A and all Armalite type rifles.

This is absolutely unacceptable. Our state puts up with an AWB that is already far more restrictive than the federal one, and this would make it far worse. Soon there will be no semiautomatic firearms with detachable magazines allowed in New Jersey. Fortunately, the bill has been stuck in assembly since early this year, however it may come up for discussion at any time. I have not yet ascertained when it will be discussed. I urge all New Jersey residents to write your district assemblypeople and explain why voting yes on this bill will cost them your vote.
