I saw an older SIG 220 in 9mm with the rounded slide that was only marked SIG 220 on the slide. There was no location marked on the slide. I have seen them with "Made in W. Germany", I have seen "Montage Suisse" which means they were assembled in Switzerland, but I have not seen a slide with no country at all stamped. Where do you suppose it was made? It isn't rubbed off, mind you, and this is the old style rounded slide. I asked over at SIG Forum, but there isn't really a whole lot of traffic over there.
