Bah! This thread is only 5 months old. We've seen a few pop up here in the past couple of weeks that were 3-4 YEARS old!

It's really funny seeing something you typed in a few years ago.

Ignore the deer. Buy vegetables at the grocery store. The day may come that you will wish those deer were there.

try no garden for a year or two. sure you loose a couple items on your table that you get "free" but the deer will know no more free lunch at joes.

and put up a zap fence. maybe a goose??

Someone once told me it was legal here in AL to kill deer out of season if they are eating your crops.

Here in NY you can get what's called a Nuisance Permit--the farmers get them all the time.

There is also a stuff called Big cat scat. I think you can get it at a Flower shop or garden center. Probably not Walmarts but rather a real garden center. Works for deer , and other critters too.

A friend of mine swears by that stuff. He put it around his garden and he says the deer won't even come close.

I think I'd do the electric fence. No muss, no fuss, set it up and forget it (until you need to get into the garden that is )

I think you ought to get one of those full auto airsoft guns. Something like this should do the trick.

I'm an avid paintball player and let me tell you, paintballs hurt like crazy when adjusted to high velocities and leave a nasty welt especially at short distances. Go with a wally-word special and adjust that screw on the back all the way in. Just keep in mind that the higher velocity you set it at the more it will hurt, but the less likely you'll be to hit something with any kind of accuracy. Try to score multiple hits at a time on each deer. You'll want something semi-automatic at least (but full auto is really fun). Both are relatively cheep at Wally-World.

Just dont go shooting humans with the velocity screw all the way in! They will leave marks on bare skin that you'll never forget.
