Forgive me if this poll has been asked in the recent past, but it's something I'm a bit curious about. A little while back I was sitting around the range clubhouse with several other range members, and the subject of sports came up (football, baseball, soccer, basketball, etc). What we found was that none of us had any particular obsession or interest in any of the non-participatory sports, ie watching the Superbowl, or the World Series and rooting for a favorite team. For me at least, they just aren't very interesting, either to watch or as a concept. What about everyone on here? How many forummers consider themselves serious fans of a major sports team? What I'd really like to know (but don't have the resources to find out) is how serious shooters statistically compare to comparable non-shooters in terms of interest in watching other sports, whether there is a significant statistical difference when controlling for other factors.

I'm not really much of a sports watching fan, although I do enjoy a good cricket match. Sitting under an umbrella with a tall G&T, take a nap, wake up and nothing has changed. Very relaxing.

I’m not a sports fan in the least. Gun ranges are somewhere between deserted and sparsely populated during major sporting events; the more ding-a-lings watching a children’s game on TV the better. I have spent many a “Stupor Bowl Sunday” all alone at a range and loving the solitude.

I played football from grade school through HS. if I watch parts of 4 games a season, that's a lot for me. Baseball and basketball bore me. I'm somewhat surprised at the poll results so far.

Sports is something you do, not something you watch.

Yuppers, can't disagree there. Gladitorial games now theres a sporting even, lions, elephants, tigers baboons and criminals in the ring with'em....epic battles replayed, christians mauled by lions and tigers...yup thats a sporting event.

Alas, don't really care for most. My idea of a team sport is a Deer Drive!:neener:
Do enjoy watching my son on his swim team in H.S.
