My club, the Fairfax Rod & Gun Club, is holding "Sighting In Days" on two Saturdays, Oct 18 and Oct 25 (9:00 am to 3:00 pm). The fee is $5.00 per gun. We have a number of ranges from 50 - 300 yards.

"Open to rifles, pistols, shotguns, and muzzleloaders. Sight in your guns for hunting season. Shoot until you are satisfied that your gun is sighted in. Every gun is safety inspected by a gunsmith."

"One on one bench rest coaching. Just bring your gun and ammo. Rests and spotting scopes furnished. Breakfast and lunch available all day."

DIRECTIONS:
From I-66 south on Rt. 28 to Liberia Ave. Turn LEFT on Liberia Ave and proceed approx. 1 1/2 miles to Signal Hill Rd. TURN LEFT and follow Signal Hill Road to the end, which is the enterance to the club.

From I-95, Exit 158-B. Follow Prince William Parkway toward Manassas. Go approx. 12 miles to Moore Road. TURN RIGHT and proceed to the stop sign at Signal Hill Road. TURN RIGHT and follow Signal Hill Road to the end, which is the entrance to the club.

I would... but my Nagant already has a marked tangent sight and it's not windage-adjustable. Maybe I'll go anyway to see if it's accurate at those ranges. Thanks for the info.

Hey, how much is it to join the FRGC? I know you need two member's recommendation, but we already know somebody who could recommend us, and maybe if a kind THRer could help, if we decide to join ;)

From my own personal experience as a range officer for "sight-ins," I would advise range officers to wear body armor.

No slam intended on the Northern Virginia hunters. Stupidity is everywhere.

"Hey, how much is it to join the FRGC?"

Glue crisp new $100 bills to every part of your body and throw yourselves at the feet of the membership committee.

The more $100 bills you can get to stick to your hide the better... :D

It's a tad on the expensive side...

I heard they will give you a significant discount if you paint yourself brown, wear an antler hat, and let the charter members hunt you with paint ball guns...

Mike: "I heard they will give you a significant discount if you paint yourself brown, wear an antler hat, and let the charter members hunt you with paint ball guns..."

And just how is that is different from being a range officer? :neener:
