I’m finally getting around to completing my left-hand 257 Wby project and I need a barrel. Has anyone ordered from Nkrthland? They have good prices on Shilen and Criterion barrels but I don’t know anyone who has personally purchased from them.

Good to go. I bought all my pre-fits through them when I still doing pre-fit barrels. I never had an issue with NSS.

I used to buy lefty Savage actions from them back when those still existed…a leap year or two ago.

I think they are good people, but a couple things:
1. You pay up front, not when the barrel ships, so no changing your mind.
2. Options are somewhat limited. For example with the Shilen prefit, if you want a #1 contour, you are stuck with 22" maximum. No 22.5" or 23" etc. So it is not a true "custom" outfit.
3. Price. You can get a cheaper and very good barrel elsewhere, for example Shaw.

Yup - many times. They are G2G.

You can get a cheaper and very good barrel elsewhere, for example Shaw.

Shaw makes serviceable barrels, but they’re not Criterion/Shilen quality.
