i was recently given 3 boxes of 50 nosler ballistic tip bullets in .308 dia. and 165 gr.
i have always used hornady interlocks for deer and settled on nosler partitions (since i asked a few months ago) for elk.
my question is this: Do these ballistic tips really "blow up like a tactical nuke" on bone or dense muscle? i am all about good quick expansion but dont want the collateral meat damage if if decide to pop just behind the shoulder (not to mention the gut spill from shrapnel).
anyone had experience using these and what are your thoughts?
Thanks!
