My only big M&P, it has, to me at least, elegant airs.

added photo, post-war, pre-model elegance of different sizes.

That's a Heavy Duty ya got there, not a M&P. That's one nice HD to, a real classic Smith.

Nice gun pr0n! :D

I told myself that I was "finished" buying guns (for the time being ;) ) with my purchase of a Remington 870 Express 12ga a while back. As with that purchase I had at least one example each of rifle, handgun and shotgun.

But the more I think about it, the more I feel nekked without a wheelgun!

A .357 snub is on my "wish list." And I'm wishing I still had my Taurus 94, 9-shot .22. Especially now that I know that DA triggers tend to get better with use - and that they make .22 snap-caps! ;)

Stoney - actually its a .44 HE 4th Model Military, or Model of 1950 Military, i.e. a pre-21. I think it looks like an overgrown pre-10, or my giant M&P. I'll try to pose a pre-10 and it in the same photo but given my photo skils, or lack of I should say, it may take me a day.

Feanaro - very nice Highway Patrolman, I'm jealous

This thread is evil, I swore off buying anymore guns this year, December was going to be the month for the budget to recover, and you guys post all these classics, now I don't know if I can resist making the rounds of the local shops today.

OK gotcha, wow:eek: I don't see many of those. That's very nice.If your ever in the mind to sell it please let me know.;)

Well, since everyone else is doing it...

I suppose it's OK for me to share a photo or two?

S&W Model 10-5 shipped in 1969 to CA. My wife had it engraved for my 50th BD and I worked up the smooth stags stocks for it.

cslinger,

Well said! I am with you 100%!

My collection is small, but I am young, so I'm looking forward to a lifetime of adding to my collection. Thus far, here are my Jedi weapons ;):

S&W 642, my pocket protector:

Grips are on the GP100 and SP101 are Badger walnut grips. Great service, great product, fast shipping, fair price, I can't ask for more than that.

Damn this is beautiful stuff.
Saxon, that engraved model 10 is darn sweet. You have an amazing wife.

Hey SP - you are one lucky man, that engraved Model 10 is a sight. I'm going to print it out and show my wife as an example of what she can get me for my next birthday, see will probably just roll her eyes but its worth a try.

Gouse also did my M10 seen above. He is very reasonable on price. The 100% coverage on the 10 was $500. Not much to have something really special.

Here it is in the El Paso Saddlery rig I had made for it.

Mmmmm ... pretty

My revolver collection is fairly pedestrian. A GP-100 which needs a nice set of those Badger grips or something similar. Those are just too nice. A S&W 638 with Crimson Trace grips. An old Taurus 94 which, while quite serviceable for what it is, I hope to replace with a nicer .22lr revolver one day, and a Taurus 617 which isn't anything special except a good nightstand gun.

I'd like to round out my revolvers with a 3" SP101 and the aforementioned nicer .22. But not this week.
