Keep in mind that Ruger Mini-30's have a .308 bore and SKS and AK's have a .311 bore.

only the very first run of ruger mini30's had a 308 bore, any made since about 1992 or so have the proper .310 bore as do SKS and AK's

you are correct krochus, the 189 series and later M30's have the .310 bore.
a tip for X39 loaders - Graf's has the Hornady VMax .310 slug on sale (or did, evidently Hdy has discontinued and they may be sold out) and it shoots very well in my M30 atop 680. I bought all I could afford my last order. I wish Hdy made this slug in 150gr weight. would be ideal whitetail slug for this cartridge.
