Are you a NRA member? Life member like me?? If so chime in here. Why do you support the NRA? If more of the fence sitters were indeed members then this organization would indeed have a LOT more political clout. Other threads on many forums sometimes bash the NRA---but they DO get a lot done for the RKBA movement. As much as I hate to say it this is like voting. DO NOT DARE to complain about the NRA policies unless you are a member. The members DO have a say and the leadership will listen if we collectively want to do it differently than what is happening now. So join and make your voice heard at the main office.
OK off the soap box now.
I am for the NRA educating the uninformed public, shooting programs, and helping to keep the shooting sports safe and alive in general. I am a life member now-- it took some time for me to decide to do it but I finally figured out that "If I did not do it, it probably was not going to get done" and the NRA needed me to personally stand up and be counted.
For those that do not like the extra stuff being pushed onto them, you can opt out of the mailings and/or emails. There is a link on your personal page or you can call them on the phone and it will be taken care of. I asked to stop the mailings. I think this will save some money to be used more productively IMHO. Why give it to the postal service instead.
