Not all do. The one I'm currently a member of does not make it a prerequisite, though I think it would be a good idea if they did.

My club does but it didn't matter. I've been a member since '72(or 3). I don't think they ever wanted to see my card. Rats...I really wanted to be carded.

There's only one local club that requires it, the rest strongly urge that you join.

The club I belong to does not require it, though it comes up from time to time. I doubt that requirement will be implemented any time soon given the independent nature of our members as a whole.

our club requires it ,and it has never been an issue with any body that wanted to have a place to shoot ,heck we even fly the flag at all monthly meetings and say the pledge of allegiance . nobody complains !

Most around here require it. One also requires membership in the state association.
