NVA SKS, made in Vietnam?

I bought a rifle at a local gun shop a while back, I recognized it as an SKS but was unsure about nation of origin. The only information I could find anywhere was this photo of a rifle with the same markings that is identified as a Vietnamese manufactured rifle. It has no importer markings so I assume it was a bringback war trophy.

It looks rough on the outside but mechanically perfect, possibly unfired? It's missing the original stock, replaced with a Chinese one.
If anyone has any more information on what I have I would be greatful. I'm curious if it really is a scarce NVA rifle, just how uncommon that might be, value?

Well, I wish I could answer your question, but FWIW Fjestad's Blue Book of Gun Values states that "The most collectible SKS is East German mfg., and SKS rifles mfg. in N. Korea and N. Vietman are also quite rare in the U.S.", which you probably already know..

If it is NVA, it's a keeper!

I got in contact with an SKS expert a couple days ago (SKSNUT), emailed him some photos of my rifle. He confirmed it is indeed a North Vietnamese rifle, and quite rare, worth more than I expected. Being more of a junk collector and packrat than a true collector, I think it will be for sale in the not too distant future.
