Overall, it was a good show, though some sellers were obviously on crack.

Sporters for $900-2500. Wow.

ā€œOk boys we pumped up the milsurp market to ridiculous levels, letā€™s start pretending our sporters are made of gold. Eventually everyone will follow along and weā€™ll be rich!ā€

What is the maker of the 1908? They were supplied by DWM until 1914. After the war the equipment of Ludwig Loewe went to the Czechs and they continued production. Quality of DWM rifles is outstanding!

Its a DWM. I would have snatched it up on the spot if I didn't already have an FR8.
Probably rather have the Ishy, but might have to get both if they are still there.

The Ruger Single Six in 22mag, Is it a convertible with just the mag cylinder, or one of the old models that are stamped 22mag?
Either way, that's a good price for a Single Six around here
It had the stamped cylinder, so probably a convertible model that was missing the LR cylinder- I asked, lol.

Even missing the .22LR cylinder thatā€™s a good price if the gun otherwise is in decent shape. I donā€™t think I could have walked away from it. ESPECIALLY if it was blued.

Funnyā€¦ I had plans to head to a gun show today but got sidelined on basement projects left over from construction.

Told the wife yesterday I was probably going to go. She saidā€¦ didnā€™t you JUST buy a gun? I picked up a Ruger Bisley in .32 H&R recently and posted about it here.

Said not looking at guns but I was interested in a desert tan backpack and a couple of cordura shotgun scabbards in same color as well for the atvs when riding through the desert.

Anyway. Didnā€™t go and wonā€™t go tomorrow as Iā€™m brad nailing the last of the baseboards in the family room.

not 4 sale,not 4 sale,

not 4 sale,...

not 4 sale,.

Please remember the comment period is open Pres. Sleepy ending person to person sales!

Glad I gave the gun shows up. The crazy prices and price of admission just cant compete with internet prices. I'm not interested in haggling the price down from some crazy sky high price, at best gun shows are just a way to look at a bunch of different guns to see what you want to order. It's crazy that 1000 rounds of ammo can be shipped to me cheaper than buying at gun show.

I help a friend with his tables at gun shows. His prices are always under MSRP and he often has very little room to negotiate, unless he wants to give them away. I was happy that I got my new S&W 25-5 for under 1k yesterday.
Yeah dad and I are the same way, we are barely making any money on our pricing yet people still don't buy much. Sucks cause I see people asking wayyy more than what we are and they seem to get more sales than us. Of course we are an FFL, so we have to do background checks... like people seem to think we get ammo for 10 bucks a box and mark it up to 45 lol. And guns for like 200 and mark them up to 800. Which couldn't be farther from the truth lol.

I woulda jumped that Brazilian in a heartbeat!

I went to a local gunshow yesterday, but being California there weren't that many whole guns and those on display mostly ARs, 1911s and Glocks. There was a rather nice Marlin pump rifle in 32-20 for $1.4K and change that might have tempted me if I wasn't so short on funds. A couple of Garands, one K98k that I didn't even try to checkout due to the crowd.

Mainly ammo and accessories shows here these days.

Ouch. Missed the FW show this we for having gone to a football game in College Station.
But, as the last show, there was a table with very nice condition Carbines running US$1200-1800 with Winchesters in the middle of that range. Only one on the table near $3K was a hugely clean National Postal Meter with matching barrel and stock.

There was another clean, mixmatched GI Inland there for $1800 and a couple new production Inland Manufacturing guns for $1100. I think I'm going to hang onto my Carbines for a while yet. Saw an "Aberdeen Ord." Garand in .308 for $1700, but it was a scary cast receiver mixmaster. There was another gold-plated presentation SA M1 that was kinda gaudy but serviceable for $2500.
