Well, I was giving the snubbie the daily 200 dry-fires, and the trigger ... changed ... during the dry-diring session. Before, every time I pulled the trigger, it went clear to the back of the trigger guard, to the point where it scratched out two parallel marks on the frame. Now, the trigger seems to stop very slightly before it hits the back of the trigger guard (though it can still be pushed all the way back, this takes more effort than before and it feels kinda springy/crunchy/wrong when I do it). The hammer still drops normally and in all other respects the gun seems fine.
What happened? Is my 642 broken? Was it broken before? Any help appreciated.
