Off-Grid Knives

There are some great knives out there for not much money, but some producers take a few short cuts. The knife above looks mighty nice, but seems like I've seen it before. Hmmm:

By way of background, many here buy and enjoy the products of well known producers, and we know we pay extra for a design that strikes our fancy. This is not meant as criticism for anyone, but you might hear an expression of disgust when makers produce knives that look like the real deal, but yield no income to the people that designed them. If we want Ken Onion and other designers to produce these wonderful pieces, we need to support them and not encourage others to produce blatant knock-offs.

Off-Grid Knives
I second the concerns for theft of intellectual property and copy cat knives. It harms the innovators and innovation in the business as well as the companies that invest in those innovators. When a company steals a design and has a Chinese manufacturer, even a good one like Bestech, produce that knockoff in cheaper materials to sell under their brand it isn't good for American, European,or any other designer much less the company investing in them.
