I used to think that Wal-Mart was evil until I worked for Kroger for 6 months.Kroger is the devil in the retail industry. They are an evil corporation who would just as soon pay everybody minimum wage. This 6 month stint was after a transfer from one of their divisions who sadly has now been "krogerized" and is also now an evil company to work for.Trust me people Kroger is the real
You think Kroger is bad. At least my friend that works there gets his paycheck.

Sears is evil

They don't like to pay people. They owe me over a grand.

I've been keeping up with the ammo day over the last few years and am still confused as to why Wal-Mart and why WWB...

The idea came from Wal*Mart computer analyzed sales. The idea is to create a sudden spike in sales, which will "pop" the system and draw attention to the National Ammo Day movement.

Who can always use a couple hundred rounds of practice ball.

National Ammo day? Why are there so many national days I never heard about?

I doubt it's going to create much of a spike. The Wal-Marts in my area don't stock a lot of ammo. Obviously, they'll sell what they have, anyone showing up 5 minutes later will go away empty-handed, and that'll be the end of it. Their automated reordering system will record that they are out of WWB in .45 ACP and 9mm, so they'll order 5 more boxes of each and go back to selling camo baseball caps.

What is with you guys?

Pissin' and moanin'.

NOWHERE on the National Ammo Day site does it say to buy it from Wallyco.
That an AR15.com idea. If you don't like it go over there and pee in their Cheerios. This is supposed to be The High Road, remember?

National Ammo Day, is simply a national BUYcott, a show of force if you will.
This is the third year that I know of that it's been announced on THR and as I recall in the past everyone here has been pretty supportive.

And there is a National Ammo Week to go with it. It's not just about one day.

So let's not turn this into a corporate bashing.
Go buy ammo from your local dealers. Support them with your money.

As the poster says...

Celebrate the Second Amendment by buying an extra 100 rounds of ammunition.
Great for Hunting, self-defense, target practice and annoying the anti-gun lobbyists.
There are an estimated 75 million gun owners in the United States of America.
If each gun owner or Second Amendment supporter buys 100 rounds of ammunition, that's 7.5 BILLION rounds in the hands of law-abiding citizens!

Let the politicians, the gun-grabbers and the international comminity know that America is proud of its Right to Bear Arms and we will not be disarmed.

Personally it sounds like a dang fine idea to me.

I got (note, not from Walmart) myself 250 more rounds of HydraShoks for my Glock Fotie. Now...alls I need it a trip to the range. I think that can be arranged.
