get the G20 , then you can get a 9 x 25 6" barrel from Lone Wolf for $114.00.- 90 grn JHP from DoubleTap @ 2100 FPS!

I've actually seen Glock 10mm go for under $400 used here in Austin, TX. Since it's not a popular caliber, they don't have high resale value.

I would take a look at the 21 reg or SF and get it, then a 10mm barrel from Lone Wolf or one of the other barrel makers. I like the 400 Corbon barrel that goes good with the Mdl 21.
:uhoh:

I, too, was a (G.R.F.) GLOCK Resistance Fighter. I even bought my first one (G19) just to PROVE all points of my pigheadedness. I WAS..uh, well um, wrong. My G19 ended up being exactly what it is represented to be; an ugly, plastic, semi-funky handgun that runs & runs & runs...

I had to take all the grief from my shooting buddies who had (too) carefully listened to my previous anti-GLOCK venom-spitting. So what? It's a nice addition to my carry options. I would recommend even the most convinced GLOCK basher to buy & shoot one. If you don't LIKE it...there's a whole world of shooters who'll gladly cover the cost of your experiment. If you DO like it? Give your pride a vacation & good luck trying to wear it out!

Oh no!!! He's drinking Kool-Aid!!! Quick bring the syrup of Ipicac. It's the only thing that can save him now!!!

Regarding the barrels of the Glock, as long as you are not going to shoot lead you are ok with the factory barrel...

But the reason I am suggesting the Mdl 21 is it shoots the 45 acp, you can have the 10mm barrel also.

You can not go bigger in diameter than the 10 mm/40 cal with the mdl 20, but with the mdl 21 you can go smaller caliber, with barrels if you want to.

I only recommend that with the mdl 21 over the mdl 20 because it becomes 2 calibers for not that much money, you do need the mdl 20 mags also.

Some say the barrel that are made by Glock have bad chambers and another reason for KaBoom. Marcus you know all about that:neener:

:)

A lot of people are recommending that I replace the barrel. What is the reason for doing this on a new gun? Is there something I need to worry about?

Don't do it. Leave it stock. Like many aftermarket parts, it will devalue your gun's performance.

I picked up an Lone Wolf conversion barrel for my G35 to shoot 9mm and let's just say, JR (Lone Wolf customer service rep) and I are emailing each other once a month.

Also, A friend got an aftermarket barrel for his G22 and has been taking it to the smith numerous times to shave off some steel to fit.
