This looks like some fun activism.

Usually 80 to 150 people have been showing up for these marches. I'm guessing they may very well top 200 this time.

Let your Ohio contacts know about this so they can spread the word.

Other regional Walks scheduled for Pearl Harbor Rememberance Day!

WHAT: Local activists interested in protesting Governor Bob Taft's
obstruction of concealed carry legislative
reform will "openly carry" their sidearms on a walk through the
neighborhood.

WHY: These "Defense"Walks are intended to offer Ohioans a "visual display"
of the choice Ohioans and legislators have before them as a result of the
Supreme Court ruling: open carry, with no training, background checks or
"defenseless victim" zones, as is current law; OR a more subtle form of
exercising the right to self-defense - concealed carry, as would be made law
with passage of House Bill 12. The Ohio Supreme Court recently upheld the
practice of "open carry" in Klein v. Leis. If Republican leadership in the
Senate continues to obstruct this legislation in the name of Party
solidarity, as Ohio Sen. Carnes recently put it, Ohioans are ready and
willing to exercise our fundamental right to bear arms for self-defense by
carrying our firearms openly.

If you can't make the march, make sure you spread the word. Not just via e-mail but on the phone to your buddies.

After the march, you can call Taft and tell his underlings that although you couldn't make the march, you support the marchers.

Another point... tell them that you support the House version of HB 12 (NOT the restrictive Senate version -- no carry in cars). Tell him that if CCW is no passed in Ohio, you won't be voting for Bush (tell Dubya that as well).

Finally, tell him that you don't like him requiring that the CCW list be made public (his latest reason for vetoing the bill).
