Two state lawmakers want to amend Ohio's new concealed carry law to give local government control of where licensed holders may carry their weapons.

Sen. Ray Miller, D-Columbus "614-466-5131" and state Rep. Tyrone Yates D-Cincinnati "614-466-1308" submitted bills to give local government the authority to ban carrying concealed handguns. This is from the Dayton Daily News local section in todays paper. Please call, email, send snail mail to let them know that we will hold them accountable for this. We need to vote them out of office.

Thank You... From Fastlane in Ohio...

Tyrone Yates just won't stop will he. First he introduces an Ohio Assault Weapon Ban and now this. On a side note, I wrote to my Ohio Senator Schuler, and he said he would oppose any form of AWB in Ohio. I have yet to hear from my Rep. Brinkman.

Brinkman will likely oppose it. IIRC, he is rather solid on the issue.

Yeah, the local blissninnies were up in arms that they might allow guns in city parks. Some particularly dim bulb opined that there are no wild animals loose in our Metroparks, ergo no need for guns. File under 'Completely missed the point'. So, yeah, if this happens, look for an already byzantine CCW system to become even more insane as every local municipality adds its own restrictions.
