On June 9, Oklahoma Governor Brad Henry (D) signed into law Senate
Bill 834. SB 834 makes several improvements and clarifications to
Oklahoma firearms law, including lowering the Right to Carry permit age
to 21, broadening Oklahoma's reciprocity statutes, and changes
designed to protect school firearms education programs.
The law goes into effect on July 1, 2003
