Ok, I think my collection is complete. I believe I have all my bases covered and could even probably lose one or two, maybe even three and still be able to cover almost any scenario.
But I don't have any desire for any other rifles, shotguns or handguns.....at least not at this time anyway.

From top to bottom:
Marlin 60
M1A
M1 Garand
RRA LAR-6.8
Glock 21 - S&W 10 - Glock 23
SLR-95
Remington 870

done? thats not even a starter kit.
if you know how many guns you have your not done, heck they all even fit in one picture

I think I'm going to call it quits with a

Remington 11-48
leveraction .270
taurus 617
good knife

I should feel pretty confident that I could be in a stormy jungle one day, just out for a stroll, when all of a sudden I step on a patch of unstable ground and fall through to a muddy, nasty pit of yuck, and I could finagle my way out of that unfortunate position, and upon reaching stable ground again, I could then spot a target of interest and fire on it once, and thousands of times afterward with little to worry about from the firearms themselves.

Reliability is more important, IMO, than any of the other benefits of a firearm.

When I bought a model 94 and a blackhawk back around 1970 or so, I thought I would never need or want another gun. Well, after well over a hundred guns later, (I still own around 60 or so) I realize how foolish I was in my youth.

Actually you have a very decent collection going on right now. And nowhere in your post did I see the word "never".

That's a nice looking collection/selection of firearms. Without a nice representative example of a Walther PPK, however, your collection -- or any collection -- will never be completed. :)

Not that I'm nitpicking here...

...but it looks like someone doesn't have a semi-auto shotgun, a lever action, an O/U, side by side, pump rifle, or 1911. You should head back to the gun shop and make sure you've got all your basics covered!

I jest, and don't even have half of the guns you do. Don't count yourself out now though, all those guns out there won't just buy themselves you know.

Try, try to tell yourself that.......

You probably no sooner hit "Post" and you were re-thinking that.

OR

Did your wife make you write that?:scrutiny::neener:

Amprecon, I am very envious of your collection. Unfortunately, there are a few more firearms that I think would be a wonderful addition. Keep in mind these are just suggestions.

I'm thinking that a few more revolvers would be beneficial. I'm thinking one at each end of the spectrum: something small, like a J-frame sized revolver, but chambered in .22 long rifle and a very large revolver to balance out the collection. While a S&W 500 magnum would be adequate, a Ruger Super Redhawk or Taurus Raging Bull would suffice.

I also noticed that you only have the one shotgun. The Remington 870 is an excellent gun, but I would imagine that it gets lonely being in your safe with a whole bunch of tack drivers and no scatterguns. Perhaps a Charles Daily 20guage autoloader that it can mentor, take under its wing, and a good old side by side that can talk about the "good old days, when a 10 or 12 gauge always rode shotgun."

In all honesty it looks like you have a very nice, well rounded collection.
