OK, what would you buy?

Yeah, a CZ like most people have said. Both my brothers have 452 americans which the triggers were set up by a gunsmith somewhere around a pound. At 50 yds I can shoot a nickel size group with Aguila Golden Eagle, which is $3.49 target ammo. The 453 has a single set trigger

I would say... winchester 52 or kimber 82 gov...single shots but difficult to beat.
