I think I did okay- $250.. out the door.
Revolver Smith & Wesson Model 10 (no dash). 4" pencil barrel. Serial number----C 453xxx Blued. Holster wear is evident. Everything is tight. Shot it today- 4 inch groups at 7 yards
Your pencil barrel Smith & Wesson model 10 was manufactuered in 1960,
as the S/N range for that period ran from C429741 thru C474148. $225
is not a bad price at all; I just gave $200 (+ 9% sales tax) for a Smith
& Wesson 10-5 (C737xxx), with a 4" pencil barrel and square butt. Its
a pristine factory nickel model, with the "diamond" walnut grips. The
S/N indicates its from a period of time between 1963-1965; most
likely the winter of 63-64. Enjoy ~!
